Sexual assault and murder are completely different crimes with different psychologies around them. I’m not going to get into some conversation about that because it’s comparing apples to oranges.

Saying “I’d rather be raped” is disgusting and unnecessary.

I never suggested we lock up innocent people. I never suggested anything close to that. Never in this article or any of my comments did I suggest that we should legally punish people willy nilly.

Have you done any research on who makes false rape accusations or why? Usually there is some impetus to it, isn’t there, I’ve included research about it and there is other research available on the subject.

The system is broken. It doesn’t work. So what we need to be doing is examining 1. How to make it work better and 2. How to dismantle rape culture. Recognizing that false reports are MUCH LESS COMMON than they are made out to be is an important step in that.

You’re talking about being “tough on crime” and I’m talking about human compassion.
