There is a huge difference between being short and being fat. Men don’t get discriminated against because they are short. They aren’t considered disgusting or unhealthy because they are short. They don’t experience systemic disenfranchisement because of their height. They don’t go to restaurants and have the inability to sit at certain tables, or get turned away from rides, or have to ask for seatbelt extenders because planes are built for small people. Yes, I want people to be accepting, but I also want society to change so that this all people are considered worthy.

Also, it is a little pet peeve of mine to be told “well, some men like fatties.” If you like me regardless of my size, cool. If you like me BECAUSE of my size? I’m being reduced to a fetish and that feels a whole other kind of crappy.
